Don't let cheap framing damage your football shirt
Football shirts and other sports shirts, especially signed ones, are not only prized possessions and valuable but are often irreplaceable.
For these reasons caution is recommended when it comes to cheap framing. This often entails using quick framing methods to secure your shirt such as the use of metal staples (which can cause rust marks) and double sided tape (which leaves a sticky residue).
These stains and sticky residue are almost impossible to remove, spoiling the appearance and potential value of your shirt.
At Home Visit Framing we use the traditional method of needle and thread. This takes a little longer but does not leave rust marks or sticky residue.
Finally, it is important to ensure the glass does not press down onto the fabric, as condensation can cause mould to appear on the shirt thus spoiling the appearance as well as reducing the value. We use spacers between the background and glass to make certain the necessary gap is achieved.
